Description
Gilder’s gloves are used for all genuine and imitation leaf applications. Their spaced woven threads prevent hands from sweating on the gilded surface. It’s crucial always to wear gloves when applying gold leaf. This practice prevents fingerprints from tarnishing the gilded surface, ensuring the spotless condition of your work. These gloves also come in handy for polishing the gilded surface and removing redundant flakes. You can also wear these gloves when polishing the gesso and clay to smooth them out well before gilding.
