• We dispatch orders to Australia daily. If you place your order before 2pm AU time, you can expect to receive your order within 10 days.
• Orders placed after 2pm are processed the following business day.
• All orders are shipped via DHL, FedEx or NZ Post (whichever is cheaper) with a Track and Trace number.
• Enter your address at checkout to see the shipping cost to AU.

• Paying by PayPal: we receive your funds instantly and process your order immediately.

The Instacoll matt gilding size is for indoor use only. The Instacoll Gloss is for all types of metal leafs, indoor and outdoor, and all surfaces. For a more professional gilding project, we recommend reading Choosing The Best Gilding Adhesive. However, if you want a gilding size for a particular surface, it’s best to check out our gilding systems under the Kölner tab in the main menu.

Genuine gold 23k—24k leaf can be used indoors and outdoors, but imitation metal leafs can only be used indoors to avoid oxidation.

Genuine gold leaf can be burnished to create a high-gloss, shiny finish, whereas imitation leafs cannot.

Gold leaf loose
The gold leafs are placed in paper booklets, loosely inlaid in 25 compartments, one for each leaf. To cut the leaf, one may take it from the booklet with the gilding knife and place it on the gilding cushion or drop it directly onto it. Then, please pick up the leaf with the gilder's tip and put it onto the prepared surface.

Gold leaf patent (Transfer)
The individual gold leafs are pressed onto tissue paper. One uses patent gold, also called tempest gold, when gilding outdoors. The tissue paper is larger than the gold leaf so that it may be more easily handled. Cutting the patent leafs into desired shapes/forms with scissors is also possible. The leafs are placed onto the prepared surface and carefully rubbed with cotton wool or Kölner tissue drapery. The tissue paper may be removed as the gold leaf will adhere to the surface/object.

No. All international orders must pay for shipping regardless of the total order. And you may also have to pay tax in your local country.
