Agate stone burnishing tool is a semi-precious stone made up of various siliceous materials, and each colour of agate is unique and distinct. The available burnishers are compatible with all genuine loose gold leaf that can be applied using the poliment gilding technique.
Because the polishing stones are delicate, it is advisable to keep them away from hard surfaces to prevent scratches. Among gilders, burnisher #17 is the most commonly used, as it can effectively burnish nearly any gilded surface. Additional shapes and sizes of burnishers are also available.
