Description

Water-based gold size is perfect for use on wood and gesso. After applying it, you can begin gilding in 30 minutes, and it will remain tacky for up to 24 hours. If you need a thinner coat, you can dilute the gold size with water, but ensure that the dilution does not exceed 20%. For highly absorbent surfaces, such as gesso or wood, it’s best to apply two coats or use a sealer first. This gilding size is intended for interior use only and should be applied with a fine synthetic brush. Once your gilding is complete, finish with a coat of varnish to protect the metal leaf.
