Description

Lemon shellac flakes is free of resin & wax, and a natural primer. Lemon shellac is widely used in various applications by artists, carpenters, decorators, and gilders.. Gilders use shellac over gesso—a mixture of rabbit skin glue and whiting—to prevent the gilding size from mixing in. They also apply shellac directly to the metal leaf after it has been applied, using various techniques to protect it from potential oxidation. Shellac serves as a classic sealer for artists seeking a professional finish in their artwork.

A brush, cotton yarn, or microfiber-cloth can be used to apply shellac.
It is non-toxic as is.
Shellac is only usable indoors.

To dissolve Shellac:

To dissolve shellac, add 100g of it to 1 litre of ethanol (ethyl alcohol) or methylated spirit in a glass jar. Seal the jar well and place it in a warm spot. Shake the jar several times to accelerate the dissolution process. Once the Shellac has completely dissolved, it is ready for use. Remember to keep it sealed, cool, and well!
