Gold leaf booklets (transfer) contain individual gold leaves pressed onto tissue paper. To apply the gold leaf, place the leaf with the gold side facing down onto the prepared surface. Gently rub it using a very soft Instacoll Tissue or Wool Brush. After you finish rubbing, you can remove the tissue paper; the gold leaf will adhere to the surface. You can also cut the transfer gold leaf into shapes using scissors.
Transfer gold leaf is an excellent choice for beginners in gilding and is perfect for gilding walls and ceilings. We also offer Loose Gold Leaf. For the best results, it is recommended to use Permacoll HA as the gilding size, whether in red or clear.
