The available burnishers are suitable for all genuine loos gold leaf that can be applied using the poliment gilding technique. Since the polishing stones are delicate, it is advisable to keep them away from hard surfaces to prevent scratches. Among gilders, the most commonly used burnisher is #17, which can effectively burnish nearly any gilded surface.
