Kölner Rapid Stone Size is formulated for headstone gilding and restoring engraved lettering. In New Zealand, 23-carat or 24-carat gold leaf is typically pressed into sandblasted engravings, producing a finish that lasts 10 to 15 years, depending on stone type and weather. Apply the adhesive undiluted in two coats with a brush, allowing each coat to dry for about 15 minutes, depending on thickness, temperature, and humidity. Ensure the final coat is fully dry before gilding. Once dry, you have up to three days to complete the gilding process.
